The Arundel girl’s field hockey teams have just closed another successful season. Varsity has claimed a near flawless 11-2-2 record with their sole losses being against Severna Park High School. Even with two tie games against Archbishop Spalding and West Essex High School, the Lady Wildcats have still secured eleven wins this fall. A 2-1 loss against Severna Park ended their games in the County Championship. However, Varsity still has high hopes for their first playoff game on Wednesday, October 30th.

“We have a really good chance, I feel like, I’m kinda confident,” says Lauren Egan, a second year player for Varsity.  “Our team is really close this year…” Before championship games and playoffs, Varsity closed their regular season with an 8-1 win against Southern on October 15th. Overall, Varsity has displayed an improvement from last year’s 10-3 record, and are clearly capable of doing well in their upcoming playoff games.

Alternatively, Junior Varsity has achieved an overall record of 4-8-2, which is still successful compared to earlier seasons. In their end-of-season tournament against Archbishop Spalding, the Lady Wildcats lost with a score of 0-3, ultimately ending their season. With their final game having been on the 19th of October, Junior Varsity has brought their fall season to a close. Highlighting their season was a 5-0 win against North County High School on October 7th. Even though their season is over, Junior Varsity can still hold their heads high knowing there are more successful seasons to come.
