On Friday, October 5th, the Arundel Wildcats came in and showed out in their homecoming game against North County High School, cruising through the opposing defense, resulting in a 56-12 victory against the Knights.
The Wildcat offense was led by Junior Quarterback Austin Slye, who threw 15 of 19, 177 yards, and 4 touchdowns. Senior RJ Chandler, being Slye’s favorite target, had 7 receptions for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jumping to a 36-6 lead at the half, Sophomore Mitchell Soumah took the place of Slye, leading the senior Linebacker, Gereme Spraggins, who had 4.5 tackles and 1 interception.
The Knights’ offense was led by Deontez Parker who had a total of 82 passing yards and 2 touchdowns.
The 5-1 Wildcats look to face-off against the 4-2 Annapolis High Panthers at Annapolis High School on Friday, October 12th.
