Arundel Volleyball honored the seniors in their last regular season home game last Friday, October 20, 2017 against Notre Dame prep. The Senior class of 2018 consists of #2 Kate Hofer, #3 Nia Smith, #6 Chyna Gubbings, #8 Sydney Sheppard, #13 Taylor Wigglesworth, and #14 Alicia Eldredge. Arundel played only seniors in their 25-10 first set victory over Notre Dame prep. In the next two sets, Arundel went on to win 25-12 and 25-16 to complete the sweep.
“We’ve never played a set together,” said captain Alicia Eldredge, “We had a lot of fun and worked really well together, it will be a game that I’ll never forget.”
As Arundel completes the regular season with an 8-0 home record, they look to win out to successfully finish the regular season with a perfect record. Arundel faces off with North County next Tuesday, and with Calvert next Thursday. The Wildcats have guaranteed themselves a spot in the county championship on October 30th at Meade, and look to secure themselves a first seed in the regional tournament.
