The Wildcats won their home opener last Friday, September 15th, outlasting South River in a nail-biting back and forth affair.

After coming off of a heart breaking loss against Meade in week two, Arundel turned up the intensity by scoring a last minute 72 yard touchdown to seal their 27-26 victory.

Ryan Sedgwick and Marcus Abrams clicked as Sedgwick targeted Abrams for 2 of his 3 touchdowns, including one that went 72 yards.

Talking about that play,  wide receiver Eddie Jones said “As the ball went into the air to Marcus I didn’t know what to think. All I can remember is him catching it and the team and I going crazy.”

Kyle Kidwell also, caught his third touchdown pass and Darius Hunter rushed for the Wildcats’ 4th touchdown on the night.

The defense was led by Max Soumah who gathered 7.5 tackles, and Ephraim Moore was close behind with 4.5 and a key interception to seal the game in its final seconds.

Arundel showed persistence through they’re comeback victory against the Seahawks, and hope that their momentum carries into their next game, home against Broadneck on the 22nd.
