As the NFL free agency period begins there have been a lot of big name signing, but the one that will really pay dividends is Danny Woodhead to the Baltimore Ravens.
Woodhead is a solid back who is always a threat out of the backfield both rushing and receiving. In 2015 he had 355 yards rushing and 755 receiving yards for the Chargers and was on pace for similar numbers last year before suffering a season ending injury last year.
The addition of Woodhead along with the returning Terrance West who had 774 yards rushing gives the Ravens the two headed monster similar to the one they had back in 08 and 09 with Ray Rice and Willis Mcgahee that led them to the playoffs.

At this point in Joe Flacco’s career we know he needs a solid offensive line, a two headed punch in the backfield, and solid outside threats in order to succeed.

General Manager Ozzie Newsome just made a very smart move in order to put the Ravens offense back on track this year.
